Pigs
Wild boar (Sus scrofa) are Britain's only native pig species. Once a widespread and abundant species, it was hunted to extinction during the 1200s and 1300s, but following some escapes and deliberate releases from farms, the wild boar is making a comeback in England and Scotland.
